Hi guys,
Posted my intro in the Vinyl and Tubes section .
I have an old pair of B&W DM6's given to me by my dad that I've been wanting to get running best as I can. One of the original tweeters blew (TW20), and like a fool, I chucked them both (retaining the mounting plate) and McGuyvered in a pair of R25 jobs. That worked, but they sounded horrible. I then ordered a set of TW26's (supposedly a better idea for DM6's) off of Marktplaats. When they came, the one wasn't working properly :'(. Wasn't worth sending them back so I decided to make do.
The symptom is very low output compared to the good one. Does anyone have any ideas and is there anything I can do for this one? Alternatively, does anyone have a set of TW20's or a single TW26 looking for a loving home?
Cheers,
Jono
