General rules and common sense for Open chat
« on: January 03, 2012, 03:34:24 PM »
As you may or may not have noticed, the NSFW board is now a thing of the past and perhaps some perspective is needed as to why and what is happening.

Now it may sound odd ;D to know that I requested the removal of the NSFW board, but in the larger scheme of things it is necessary in order for us to achieve our goals for this forum. This has not been done to 'bow to pressure' from any person or group of people but rather for the developement of the AVFSA 'brand' so to speak.

With regards to what is suitable content for this board, there are not going to be any hard and fast rules, just that the moderating team will be actively moderating/editing/removing posts that are deemed inappropriate for whatever reason. It will not be negotiable or up for public discussion should a post/thread be actioned by a moderator. The moderating team will moderate in the best interest of the forum and not an individual. This forum has a unique character and has a wealth of knowledgable, experienced and humourous individuals and we as a moderating team do not want to stifle the unique personality of this forum.

As a general guideline, these are a few topics (amongst others) that will be closely watched and moderated:

1. Nudity/Erotic pictures
2. Graphic violence
3. Personal attacks on members

Other than that, enjoy the forums and look forward to new things to come

Whoever originally coined the word 'Lisp' and put an 'S' in it's spelling, is a Douchebag !!

1. Nudity/Erotic pictures

May I post some examples to see what level of Nudity/Erotic pictures get moderated?

Y'know - all in the best interest of the forum so the rest of us can see what the boundaries are.

OK.
Is it wrong that I feel like, if I was a worse type of person, that I would have had the urge to say that I told you so?

from a purely scientific point of view, I would be intrigued should you provide me with said link so that I may investigate this matter before passing judgement.

I always found pictures of naked valves in the DIY section a little pornographic.

Pity, because if there's one thing the internet is short on, it's porn.
