 :walled:

I get their calls all the time! As soon as you post speakers or amps... some dude calls promising the world and asking for banking info.

 :BWAHAHAH:

Definitely a scam, no such shop in Limpopo but there’s one in Europe. Pricing is fishy and the pics are from inside a house and not an Audio store..

This looks fishy, leaving for Germany so bank account closed (which would no doubt cause visa problems), no carts as taking those with them.  Possibly Red Revenge stock?

Watch out for one Bryan Gordon, in Jhb.
He has a European accent I could not place.
His email address/ signature reads
Brayn (sic) Gordon
Senior Procurement
Toko Production
Cell    0736096754

I can't trace Toko Production.
He wanted an expensive item of jewellery couriered to Jhb. I received a Nedbank payment sms. Then he got impatient when I wasn't sending before funds cleared about when I was sending it via SA Airlink Cargo, though he had not supplied an address. He sent POP and his driver's name and ID number (yeah, right!). An online check with Nedbank showed payment was not verified- surprise, surprise!

I did learn that banks only reverse debit orders.

The POP can be fake too.  My neighbour sold her electric lawnmower for R1500.  The buyer sent a driver with a Capitec payment confirmation when I happened to be there.  The Capitec logo was skew on the page and there were two different typefaces in the text part.

I happen to be a Capitec client and saw it was fake immediately.  She shooed the fellow off and nothing more was heard from the "buyer".
Even duct tape can’t fix stupid… but it can muffle the sound

The POP was definitely fake, otherwise the reference numbers etc. would have been verified by Nedbank.

sticky but necessary subject to talk about, have had many attempts but so far been lucky. buy a lot from out of town as i am also mostly in Durban but do travel to main cities like Joburg and Cape Town. There are a few main things that stick out when its a scam, no talk of negotiating the price, EFT payment and meeting to collect (if we're going to meet then why EFT?). The last guy who tried, told him a mate of my works at the police station around where he said he stays and asked him if he could go there to meet...that's the last i heard from him. Yes some of them have been our brothers with accents however I have had successful sales with other brothers from Africa.
