This one slipped past me...
Neither the ATI (aka Amplifier Technologies, Inc.) website nor the Theta website contain any reference to this takeover but Stereophile have a write up on the acquisition on their website at:

Interesting that absolutely no mention is made of Neil Sinclair and his fate...
I guess the questions to be asked by any Theta owner are:
a) Will ATI support past Theta warranties and provide support?
b) With ATI's focus mainly on HT/AV, what will happen to Theta's pure audio products?
c) Will ATI continue Theta distribution to SA when they themselves do not have any SA distributors for ATI products?
From some judicious Googling, it would seem that Theta may have been having some cashflow challenges...
Pity!! Theta's digital audio products have always impressed me with their ability to sound "non-digital"...
