I am on the receiving end of this, as a Dealer in South Africa this is a huge issue for me. I run my business with very little overheads and can offer great deals! I started promoting the products at the my prices (FONET has strict mark up polices) and that's when the problems started. The phone began to ring from my suppliers saying I'm destroying the brand values and making the market unfair for other dealers. Over the threats of taking away my livelihood I had to increase my prices inline with what is acceptable to them :walled:. I really think that this creates a very noncompetitive market for us dealers who can compete on price. Sure Services are very important and that's where us dealers really compete. My argument is if I can market my products close or even spot on to the international trade prices how am I destroying the Brand? If the suppliers have made their money, the dealers should have the final say on product and service price. Tip of the day: Once you have a quote, keep it confidential when shopping around for comparison quotes. Have a great weekend all!
