Hey folks
Family of mine are looking for a receiver after their old NAD stereo amp let out the magic smoke last week.
Wants:
They want many inputs (DVD-Recorder/VCR/Tuner/CD-player/Sat/maybe more later)
possibly a tuner (current tuned might get relocated to the bedroom system at a later stage)
ability to handle most current formats
4-6 ohm stable amplifer section for mains
For first they will be running an old pair of AR's stereo and might add more speakers at a later stage (a pair of 5"/1" Audax DIYs being one of them and possibly a pair of Behringer Truth monitors).
I was thinking some of the cheaper receivers out there atm might fit the bill perfectly. They don't need audiophile recognition and status, just something that works and leaves a little spare change for a good pair of speakers for mains.
Your recommendations would be kindly appreciated
