Greetings All What does jitter "sound" like? I do not have an experience ear and would like to know what to listen for. As an aside (and slightly off topic-sorry Alan) , I have a Mede8er that I use as a source into a DAC. I must say that the Mede8er (via SPDIF) does a better job than than using my computer as a source via USB. In fact I am quite impressed with the SQ from the Mede8er. I have even started using the Mede8er's volume control going straight from the DAC into the power amps. I must say the sound quality is very transparent and I am starting to question if a pre-amp is necessary (in a digital system). I am of the opinion that DAC's with well implemented digital volume control is the well worth considering. Regards M
