Agreed with most here. Why is one of the biggest moments in SA hifi undercut by a matter-of-fact mention and some awful out of focus photograph and not a sleek presentation to exploit the opportunity? When it comes to the styling, my 2c of the preamp only since it's the most visible: - If this looks good then twice as much must look twice as good. It's just too busy, too wavy. By explanation, it took me several seconds to take in every part of the design. Most others, including Pathos and Rowland, the entire image or character can be caught at a single glance. This looks more of a stew of different ideas that just don't gel. The faceplate is restrained, basic and sensible. Behind it is crazy flashy Russian. Both can work as a universal theme if done right but there is nothing fusing or blending the two concepts. - Relax the curves to something much, much gentler and it can look quite sleek. - There are four metal finishes: brushed white aluminium, polished aluminium, polished copper and brushed black aluminium. That's just too much, too diverse. Keep the same texture when using the same colour throughout, so polished or brushed but not both. - The copper, if it has to be a theme, needs to be a theme throughout (a la Marantz with their screws and backplates etc.) and not limited to an experimental inlay on the sides. - The car audio styled spider does not fit the market niche but that was already mentioned will go. Ventilation cutouts are an art and using a logo for it is something that's fallen out of fashion. - The apertures on the top and bottom are too many, too sharp, too different. Do they have a purpose and why are they not rather uniform? My first thoughts were how they can hurt your fingers when picking it up. - The fasteners at the top should be black. Or copper.
