I have tried to keep my selling price to dealers and clients as good as possible. Margins from my suppliers range from 30% to 50%....how I would loooove a 70% margin. What do I do about it ? Example:Take 50% on iFi products. I sell to dealers at 35% off, I make 15%. The dealer marks up 20-25% - We agreed all to sell to clients at 15% under MSRP. But on other products like Mingda where Im lucky to get 40% there is no margin for a dealer. At 15% under MSRP there is 25% margin. Now this is all well and good if you DONT have a shop, workshop, sales people and staff! If you in a shopping center you will NOT survive with a 30% margin, forget it. An example for landed price: Dollar Price x Exchange rate x 1.32 + shipping. You might be "lucky" they dont charge you 8-10% luxury tax etc. I CANNOT see for VERY few brands how OUR MSRP can be more than overseas....that is greed How do we go on ? SUPPORT each other! I always said: "If you dont have what the customer wants...find what he wants from someone else". Achim, Air etc is NOT my competition. They just sell equipment I DONT have. Give the customer a great deal from ANY supplier and our businesses survives.
