I’m in a new wooden house with a 7x11m double volume open plan living room. I’m currently driving my old and trusty pair of Sonor Osmium standmounts with a recently acquired Exclamé 100. But the speakers are obviously battling to fill the room. Any thoughts on what speakers I should be considering? The Exclamé is staying. So 100W has to be enough. Are floorstanders definitely the best option for me? Or would certain standmounts do the job? Is there a minimum sensitivity and ohm rating I should stick to considering the Exclamé’s limited power? I love the Sonor sound so Lyras are on my radar. Obviously interested in the new range but likely out of budget. Was also intrigued by what I read about the Zu Druids that just changed hands. Versatility and enjoyment is more important to me than the last word on neutrality. Generally listen alone at moderate levels but must also be able to rock a house party. Budget ~R20k. Would really appreciate some advice on this!
