Ah! Consider the working of things from CD to speaker, block diagram wise: 1. The signal is taken off the CD, consists of 1s and 0s. Definitely digital. 2. The signal goes through a D-A converter, followed by a line signal stage. 3. The signal goes into a power amplifier, and is fed to a loudspeaker. Definitely analogue. Now then - am I correct in understanding then, that if a line (interconnects) go between (1) and (2+3), one has a CD player on the left and a digital amplifier on the right (of the line)..... But if the line (interconnects) go between (1+2) and (3), one has a CD player on the left and an analogue amplifier on the right? ... with the very same processes? :-\ ::) ;D ;D
