So that implies that a JVC pep-store blu-ray player provides the same output quality as an Oppo model? Nah, I've been around the block too many times. They state in the same paragraph that internal processing makes an impact. The XBOX One S doesn't use the same image processing as a dedicated high-end player, so there has to be a difference. Yes it reads the same ones and zeros, but it's what it does to those ones and zeros that makes a difference. I may be able to consider that the UB900 provides the same output as the UB400 due to the same image processor being used, but I won't believe that the XBOX One S as "as good" as the Panasonic in terms of quality delivered on screen. I've seen the difference between an Oppo Blu-Ray player and an entry-level Samsung Blu-Ray player on the same TV, same day, same scene. Surely that's not placebo? p.s We are digressing quite nicely lol.
