I have an internal blu ray drive on my PC and I can honestly say it's prob been one of the worst mistakes I've made. It's absolutely horrible! I bought a Lite-on Blu-Ray drive from amazon.com mand shipped it to SA. 1, it's insanely sensitive and even the lightest dust spec causes picture jitters. 2, The native software that came bundled (Power DVD I think) only supprots 2 channel audio. In order to get full surround I needed to spend an additional $80 to buy the full software. 3, It's very confused with region codes. Mine is the US region, and I bought Dexter season 1 and 2 on Blu Ray, however, the 3rd disk of season 2 it tells me is the wrong region code and won't play it. 4, It's very very noisy! These could be just because of my poor drive but all in all caused me alot of grief. I would get rid of it but some of my blu-ray movies are American region code so i will hang onto it just for that. It's the reason I bought a PS3.
