As far as I am aware Netflix do not broadcast uncompressed Audio and that includes Atmos. Netflix broadcast DDD+ and not Dolby TrueHD. Thus regardless if Netflix app is on an external device (Shield etc) and the device is run through an up to date AVR that supports the kitchen sink and does pass through audio of everything, you cannot get more out that what comes in ie DDD+ in from Netflix equals DDD+ out? Different story with a Dolby TrueHD + Atmos Bluray of course, as that the shield will pass through to an AVR that supports Dolby TrueHD + Atmos untouched and in full glory (Possibly also a TV with eARC as well if plugged directly into an HDMI port of that TV). As an aside since you are chatting about streaming devices I believe Apple TV 4K (2021) though does not support pass through Audio.
