Thank you for the advice. I do appreciate it. My challenge is a cashflow one. I spent quite a lot of money on the auction where I purchased these Vivids on. Between that and the living off my savings for the last 3 months (I lost my job in October), I do not have the R25k for the 2 replacement drivers (old cross link version) or the R50k for the 4 new design cage drivers, otherwise I would have done that already. The left speaker needs the tweeter and the mid range driver replaced, the right one is perfect, but if you go with the newer cage design you'd need to change all 4 drivers from an aesthetic point of view. Having said all of that the speakers are in fantastic condition with the exception of the two drivers that need to be replaced. Once they are these will indeed be in near mint condition. As to the option of keeping them, I wish. Part of the reason I bought them, as I knew that I probably wouldn't make much (or any as it turns out) money on them was to at least be able to say that I had once owned a set of Vivids, even if it was for a very short time, as I don't know if Ill ever have the money to actually but any for my own use. My only regret in all this is that I have not been able to hear them properly due to the damaged tweeter and Midrange driver on that left speaker. Alastair
