Just an update here... So I've traded my B&W CM10's and Center in as deposit on M&K S150's. I'm awaiting pricing, the stock will take a month to get here. For now I'm using the Klipsch THX 6000 LCR's again, and I have to say, the 2nd time around, maybe it's small things I improved, slightly different speaker placement and Audyssey mic placement etc, but it sounds very good! I would now evolve my previous opinion to say that in summary the Klipsch is clearly better for cinema. I'll revisit the music side, but it's < 5% of my usage, so not a big deal. I'm still going to get the M&K's and then I can compare properly. One set will stay and get matching surrounds etc over time. The other set will be sold. I can tell you however, that good speakers are good speakers and will do a good job if set up properly, but non-identical horizontal centers are compromised (as we know). Don't get me wrong, I was happy for years and you could be too, but any identical LCR setup, (even more so if ideally placed and they are designed for cinema) will almost always be better than a "general purpose" setup - so there is clear gain to be had. It's hard imagine or quantify without having heard the difference, but if you were contemplating an upgrade, look into this, it may just be worth your effort.
