Depending on how live your top end is, constant directivity (say a 90 degree CD waveguide with a DI that rises to ~12dB and stays there between 1kHz and 15kHz) might need more taper in voicing the top end than a waveguide with slightly rising directivity. Preference, listening volumes and acoustics play a role in these. Klipsch will publish meaningful data on their pro cinema kit, the consumer and pro-sumer gear...not so much (and they are infamous for letting the marketing department publish). If you sort your acoustics out, the well behaved power response just makes the early sound and sound field match even better and one often gets away with less treatment. Means more dynamics can be enjoyed before the ear naturally tells one to stop.
