Dhiveshan showed us at a hi-fi club meeting that Chinese audio goods have definitely come of age Also, you cannot judge a country because of the political attitude of the ruling party. The country is home to 1.4bn people and I'd suggest that 99% of them are honest, hard-working people and definitely innovative 40 years ago we laughed at Japanese products that appeared to be copies of products made in the west. Many of them were, but soon the Japanese improved on these and were able to produce an improved product at considerably less than its western counterpart. The rise of Toyota which has consistently produced reliable, maybe a bit boring, but excellent cars and has become one the leading brands in the world, is a prime example And it appears that the Chinese are rapidly expanding their offerings to the west and advanced eastern economies. Whether it is well-made and beautifully styled audio equipment, electric cars, we will undoubtedly see more and more Chinese products offered
