On a 40 -inch Sony LCD and at normal viewing distence, there was little to choose on the video side. I could see some differences when close to the TV. Ws a little more detail and depth to on screen images. More differences would probably have been visible with a larger screen. as Andrew has said Audio quality from BD was better, but would those with a less revealing system notice? Conclusion: Good scaling canget close to BD and I for one wouldnt go out just yet and buy into BD. Unless I won the lotto and could put in a decent projector. On the Audio Side I dont really like music DVD's too much so can live without the enhanced audio that these may offer. besides I still play vinyl.
