Unfortunately, changing the startup order of the devices doesn't seem to work, either. It may sound silly, but it's almost as though something in the AVR has to warm up first, or build up charge, or something like that. I don't suppose anyone has any more ideas/thoughts...? Thanks James

Coach - yip, I'm pretty keen to power most of my speakers. I currently have a 2x200w powering the stereos, but would like to relegate it to powering the surrounds and put a 3x200w for the front stage. Or, my no 1 option which I'm currently busy negotiating, get a 5x200w and sell the 2x200w...
