Quite interesting reading.  One thing that was only slightly hinted at (only scanned through the thread so if I missed it I'm sure someone will point it out  ;) ) is that people do hear differently from each other.  And by that I mean physically hear differently in the same way not everyone sees...

+1 on clean and solid sound.  Got mine for about 12 years and still have not found need to change.

Yes it would be... but consider can a flute make the same sound as a tuba?  So why expect a loudspeaker to the same. Physics is what it is. However perhaps you can give a go and become very very rich if can do it! ;)

I stopped paying attention to these things a loooong time ago (to be honest I didn't even know it was on  :o ).  This just confirms that I have the done the right thing...  OMG I see that the Bieber was up for some awards!  On the other hand perhaps our ages are starting to show...

Am using a Storm III for both AV and music.  Its a bit larger than what you are looking at but it may give an indication.  I did buy this mainly for music but find its great for movies too.  Goes down lower than most subs and has good detail too. 

One that's not yet listed David Gilmour - Live In Concert (2002?).  Great music and sound quality.

Same here - they also a 'plasma mode' which makes the menu more transparent - how well this works I dont know....

I'm sure that might be the case - I didn't spend a whole lot of time doing this - the guy in the pic below kept calling for me to come play.  As for that high fidelity stuff - been looking for a decent DAC but that damn wallet keeps getting in the way  ;) . 

ditto Was just playing around just this last week with something similar - found some 128kbps mp3s and compared with the same songs in FLAC.  Was pretty easy to distinguish.  Out of curiosity tried 256 and was pretty hard pressed to tell the difference. I'm sure at 320kbps I wont be able to...

Has anybody here used any of these DACs? (7510 or 7520 or 7520se) Your opinion if you have?  Considering one of these or maybe a CA Dacmagic.

I saw a set at Roy's place (high End audio) if thats the one you are refering to - ja well... R20k is a bit much for something that age and also for the more simpler reason that I dont have the R20k  :(
