    Which Andriod Auto Headunit

Oh I wanted one of the kenwoords that is specific for the hilux - but couldnt find one at that stage in RSA, and they were nearly 3 times the price of the sony anyway.

    Which Andriod Auto Headunit

I have a sony xav ax5000 - fitted it in my old hilux. Im happy with it - I think any of the brand names will be good. I basically bought the sony because it was one of the cheapest android auto compatible headunits from a bigger brand.

    2022 flu vaccine.

Even if the flu vaccine was 5% effective I would get it. It costs nothing and i have never had any side effects. So any chance to not get sick is just a bonus. Weird that someone would say something is useless if its 40% effective. You need to compare the risk in getting it to the potential...

    Lifespan of batteries

Lithium Ion actually works out cheaper than the other batteries if you do the sums. AGM and other acid batteries can typically discharge to 50% dod. Lithuim Ion can typically do nearly 100% dod. So effectively for a 100ah AGM battery you get 50ah. For a 100ah Lithium Ion you get nearly 100ah...

    2022 flu vaccine.

I get the flu vaccine every year - I have never gotten sick from it. And usually I avoid getting serious flu throughout the season. So I am 100% in favor of the flu vaccine too.

    Scubadude's 8kW Solar Installation

I dont know the sunsyncs, but since it is supposed to be full hybrid, what you are trying to achieve sounds 100% feasible. So Im pretty sure your installer just doesnt know how to configure it. Its probably in backup mode in stead of power supplementing/blending mode.

    Scubadude's 8kW Solar Installation

Precisely. There are a lot of reasons to have some juice left in the batteries most mornings.

    Scubadude's 8kW Solar Installation

P.S. with my 5kw inverter and 5.5kw charge controller I have produced up to 38kwh per day and rarely use anything from the grid. I think in high summer I could produce 40kwh or more on very sunny days. So with some system optimization you could be basically off grid with your system quite easily.

    Scubadude's 8kW Solar Installation

Im not sure how much those batteries cost - but adding another one might help get more out of your system. I have about 15kwh of batteries and its perfect for our mid size home. This is for many reasons, cloudy times during the day, irregular usage patterns, high morning loads etc. The biggest...

    Solar panel optimum mounting angle

Depending on your setup, a good way to not worry about the angle too much is to add a few more panels. My installation has roughly 7kw panels for a 5kw charge controller inverter combination and it just helps that you use the max capacity of your equipment for the largest possible time of the day.

Black Friday Deals...Did anyone manage to get a good deal on anything worthwhile

I bought two of these to make a nice wifi 6 mesh system in my house https://www.takealot.com/huawei-wifi-ax3-dual-core/PLID71030484. I have rain so I already had 1 huawei wifi 6 router. I know everybody hates rain - but so far in Potcheftroom I have been very happy with it. Im quite impressed...

    "Missing" sound

On some of my speakers the Audyssey correction made it sound like that. If you have some room correction system try turning it off and listen if there is an improvement for you. The correction systems for me is a hit and miss thing depending on your actual speakers, room, and measurements. I...

    Driving classic cars

I have owned restored and driven many classic cars over the years. The fun part for me is restoring them and maintaining them. I always find driving them only entertaining for a short while. My 13 year old hilux drives so much better than all of them that I lose interest after a short while...

    Bluetooth headphons on Marantz SR6013

Can anyone advise my what is the best way to connect bluetooth headphones to my amp? I was thinking a headphone jack bluetooth adaptor? Unfortunately the SR6014 has it built in but not my SR6013.... if I could upgrade for a few thousand I would, but its going to be an expensive exercise.

    Are tweeters important?

I feel exactly the same. Very impressive for an initial demo - but listening to it at home for a few hours starts hurting my ears.
