The GTX1660 is good enough depending on what games and resolution your son will need. You need to spend more for a 4k capable gaming rig but it may not be needed.

Start with the best qaulity music you have. Led Zep is also good for dynamics.

Look at older generation  Graphics cards they are often less than half price. Unless you are wanting 4k gaming a mid range card will do. Keep an eye on the online stores for this. You also sometimes get free games.

Dont try 4gig of Ram it will work but the price difference will be minimal to go to 8gig.

Uncapped data link and a good qaulity digital source like Tidal (use a smart phone or tablet to start out)and then watch this forum for good deals on a amp and speakers .

Use what I have a lot more and no upgrades. To much cost elsewhere.
