LG OLED 77" G1 - I might have wasted money today

I have exactly the same Tv and my dilemma was the same. Needed a stand. AMAZING TV! I got it for a steal last year at Hirsch's for R42k. I have dry wall behind my TV so there was no way that it would have stayed there for long if even at all. I bought this exact stand as Drifter quoted above...

How do you get the best of Apple Music on your HiFi ?

Hi @Reshen , Who stocks this and what are we looking at in terms of pricing? Currently I am using the apple tv as a streamer and cannot help wonder what difference a more sophisticated and dedicated AUDIO streamer would make?

My journey down the hi-fi rabbit hole

@optimus when I heard your system back when I took over those Azur’s from you. The system sounded REALLY GOOD! I do agree that a sub or definitly two would work great! I have two PB2000’s and they work extremely well in my opinion even though my system is dual purpose in being music and movie...

Custom tv stand for LG 77” G1 Oled

Good evening all, Need some suggestions on how to mount this tv. Wall mount is not an option. This is due to the back wall being dry wall and the acoustic panels are already mounted there. I will have to get something built or a ready made stand that can handle the weight. Pic attached of...

Extra large carpet for listening room

Good day all, Was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction with regards to a supplier of extra large carpets in the region of 300x400 to 400x500 size carpets. Don't mind going to a retailer. just don't know where the best place to go. Something that has some volume to it...

System Integration and Calibration 2.1ch listening

Morning gents, Thank you for your inputs udwadia! All valid points too consider yes. One thing I have not done yet is play around with the speaker positioning. In a family home theatre room, space for this is normally limited. But I do have some flexibility. Playing around with some ideas...

System Integration and Calibration 2.1ch listening

Hi Sean, I have a 2.1 system in another room. It's more of a "party" setup or background music during the day. I have recently put more effort into the main system. Would just like to find the best balance in the setup of the system on topic above.

System Integration and Calibration 2.1ch listening

Hi Ken, I agree. There might be issues with my Rew setup as well. Possibly. Any idea or recommendations on who can assist? You can PM me if you don’t want to state here publically. My ears are just telling me something is amiss.

System Integration and Calibration 2.1ch listening

Hi Ken, Thank you for taking the time to reply. I do have REW and a capable mic. I will run a few sweeps and post the data here for further interpretation. The panels currently in place are 50mm thick and fixed to the wall with a 50mm gap as well. The 50mm gap was suggested by TimberMG before...

System Integration and Calibration 2.1ch listening

Good day all! I am currently at a juncture. I recently made some upgrades to my system. Upgraded from Klipsch RP8000f to the RF-7 iii fronts and RC-64 centre. I am very happy with the home theatre/movie listening. The music part however in my listening space is "bugging" me though. I feel...

    Wall mount/brackets for Klipsch RP600M

Hi Nico, I actually commented on your sale post. You must have missed it. I would like to take them off your hands.

    Wall mount/brackets for Klipsch RP600M

looking into these now. The only problem I see might be that their maximum depth is 300mm and the RP600M's are like 301mm. This shouldn't be a problem if I use the planks and mats that Nico is advertising. My only concern would then be if they might slip/fall off if tilted downward a bit.

    Wall mount/brackets for Klipsch RP600M

    Are these able to tilt?

    Wall mount/brackets for Klipsch RP600M

Good morning to all on this crisp cold day, I am in a situation where my rear speakers are about 2.5-3 meters away from my listening position AND the couch I am sitting on all but totally blocks the right rear speaker line of sight/sound to my ears. This causes an imperfect "sound picture"...
