The more modern ones are half a dozen of one and 6 of the other, been through fancy priced German AEG and average priced Samsung, they're all the same really, and not made to last.. I do think the big speedqueens maybe worth checking out.

I'm assuming you are talking a stock car? There are very few stock of these around... The guys like Nxgen always built and tuned maps accordingly, and reccomended Sasol 95 or you use octane booster on high boost as most of them have high and low boost after building and tuning etc..

Full electric in SA, I'd try avoid that for as long as possible, for now hybrid is okay

There will be, atleast in all cars I've checked. Same like tyre pressure, hot oil is thiner and combined with the engine turning, the levels will raise.. Just bear in mind both under or over oil is bad either way.

Like many suggested, check based on manual... My scoob is cold before start, and daily + water/coolant 😢 and it still breaks. My toyota condor I never checked oil or water/coolant ever for 20 years (RIP, it rolled) just changed it every year or two and it drove daily.. Even after it rolled...
