I have had two of my older CDs start skipping in my Theta recently - cleaning them made no difference.  But they both ripped perfectly, first time out, in my HP's DVD drive? Why?

How about starting a record-cleaning service where you clean other peoples LPs for (say) R20 a pop?  Not everyone wants to lay out the money for a machine, this will help you to pay for yours and provide a useful service to our community. Thoughts?

Saw these at a relative's house during the festive season.  Apparently just over 30 years old.  Tweeters look fine, front foam covers and mid/bass driver surrounds completely gone.  Cabinets (feel like solid wood?) still looking good.
