How many of you like the sound system in your car?

@Ands, G5 GTi stock sound is average at best. Replaced mine with a Kenwood Double Din (the purpose built offering for the GTi), JL Audio 12 Sub, Blam Components and a Helix DSP. Sub is being run off a 500.1 JL Audio amp and the components off a 4 channel Rockford amp. Still needs some fine...

Does anyone here use Star Express for COD deliveries? Happy or Not - Poll

I have always used star express for couriering audio equipment around SA and there never was a day where I had issues with their service. I have had speakers brought in from Knysna, HT and stereo amps shipped out from and to JHB and CPT without issues. Their service and pricing are excellent...

    Are Onkyo receivers unreliable?

The dsp chip issue on the onkyo has been well documented. When I had the hdmi board fail on my 809 it was replaced and the DSP chip did have a "new" sticker on it. Pwatts is spot on with his explanation. See the thread below...

A subtle crack at decent HiFi

if they are bass heavy then be careful when partnering with the NAD. NAD are known to have a strong bottom end. Those speakers also have soft dome tweeters as opposed to metal dome. I really wish I could try them out on my Cambridge 851A. Currently have a set of Monitor Audio RX6's and they can...

    Sony Home Theater Systems

And you heard my ES play at low volume so the MGONGO system will not compare to Sony's top tier equipment. I also think the member is after a sound signature that's not in line with equipment that offers critical listening sessions so his taste may differ somewhat from the rest of us on the...

PLEASE VOTE - Age of forum members

I'm 42 and was probably born clutching a speaker in one hand and an amp in the other  :giggle: For my first birthday I got a Sanyo cassette player as my very first birthday present. Yea, so blame my parents for getting me into this extremely expensive hobby. From there on mummy and daddy...

you need to be extremely careful when using rubbing compounds on the screen as well as it may remove the printed info as well. I suggest masking off the prints before you start with the polishing process  :2thumbs:

    Media Player

I recently bought a Minix U9H and never looked back. Awesome little device and does everything brilliantly. Has Kodi preinstalled. Downloaded the Plex addin and now stream HD video with the HD Codecs to my main viewing panel. It can be had for R2199.00 if you are looking for something like...

Where can i go for a proper stereo kit demo?

I whole heartedly recommend Judy or Mark from Remedytec. I live in Durban so that will attest to the type of service you would receive from them considering I am living in another province altogether.

    Awesome members on this forum!

I also had awesome interactions with CAD and Dolby. They both offered their time and service even though there was nothing in it for them. CAD offered to courier equipment to me via a family member and even tho said equipment was sold it was still a genuinely awesome gesture. Dolby kept an eye...
