This. The collectability aspect of it is also an attraction for me. The artwork, those LP's that have beautiful gatefold covers, etc. In that regard, I feel the same way about Laserdisc.

That's good to hear. In my experience, with regard to an LD player, it's never a good idea to mess with the lens itself, no matter how delicate and careful you may be. I've seen firsthand someone damaging the lens by trying to scrub non-existent filth off it. Your issue sounds loading belt...
