Fair enough... but most AVR's do have a "direct" mode... which in theory should work very good for stereo listening on an AVR? Then again, if you use direct mode, you should do a little "toe-in" and change a little bit on the set-up for the sub nto get a sweet spot on your listening position...

Denon AVR's do tend to deliver good stereo sound

I received these yesterday for free... Technics SB 1990 speaker pair. I havent tested them yet, but visual inspection only shows 12" woofers in need of some serious TLC Does any one know anything about them? Google does not reveal that much about them
