The lightning cable actually has a built in DAC that measures pretty well, so it is still a valid budget option. Obviously, the camera adapter with a better USB DAC would be nice, so it depends on the budget.

Kandi Records offered cleaning. I believe it was a combo of Spin Clean and a vacuum machine. Maybe contact Jacques at Turntableguy, who is taking over Kandi, to check what process they use.
