May be take it to Homemation in Sandton. I took mine there three years ago and luckily they even fixed it for free. I played very well after being fixed by Homemation and I sold it here on the forum about two years ago and it was still performing well.
Are there members in this forum who managed to buy the Yamaha As 1100/2100/3100 or AS1200/2200/3200? If there are, how and where do you place your orders and how long does it take to arrive? I have been quoted R79 000 for the AS1200 and I must pay in advance and wait for it for about 4 to six...
I still use the old one I bought about 6 years ago. All TV stations are 100%. The only issue is SABC 1,2 and 3 are not in HD. All other channels are in HD. They do send messages that I must buy a new decoder but I just ignore them. They once blocked the decoder and I called them and told them...
I got them both on special. The first pair was used at R7 000 and the second pair brand new at R8 000. Their twitters have a tendency of failing. I fixed one twitter in each pair. If you ask me why I bought the second pair, I would say I wanted them to decorate my living rooms both here and my...
I own two pairs of NS777 and a smaller Wharfedale speakers. The NS777 are just big and it ends there. Performance wise, they are not forthcoming. In fact Wharfedale perform much better than these speakers.
Just a feedback. After waiting for about two weeks and following persistent phoning daily, Homemation repaired the RB1080. And it was repaired free of charge. The amp is working fine and it sounds much better. I just hope they solved the underlying problems that were causing excessive...
Thanks everyone. After a follow up with Homemation I was told the unit was fixed for free. So, I will have to cancel the claim with the insurance. I am not quite sure how this will affect my future claims if I don't get Lucky like this RB 1080 being checked and fixed for free.
Just collected...
The problem is the insurance says the claim lapses if they don't get the damage report within 7 days of the claim, and now this is the 11th day and already got communication from the insurance that the claim has lapsed.
I took my Rotel RB1080 to Homemation for a damage report after it died after a power surge. I took the unit there on the 12th January 2021 and I didn't hear from them until today. Does anyone know their turnaround times. I dealt with Yamaha and their turnaround and communication is very good...
That's the way to go. Ever since I changed power cables of all my power amps there's no humming. And if you check most audio video receivers come with twin pin power cables.
