I'm upgrading from the Sennheiser HD 450 BT, so anything else will be quite a nice upgrade. The ANC on them aren't the best. Nor the comfort... I don't know what the Focal Bathys go for in South Africa, but from what I've seen online, it seems out of my price range. I'm looking to spend max R8k.

@kay I have tried the Sony XM3's and they weren't that comfortable for me. I have quite big ears and mine touched the insides. I am not sure if the XM5's will be better. Reason for me thinking about the Bose is the angled drivers.

Why do you say that? The HiFiMan Sundara 2020 headphones have an impedance of 37 ohms. The Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro can handle headphones up to 150 ohms. Why would I need anything better than that?

I agree, R3.5k sounds fair. My other options are: HiFiMan HE400se for R2.1k Second Hand (Pads needs replacing) Sennheiser HD 599 for R2.6k NEW I plan to buy the Sennheiser GSX 1200 Pro External DAC & Audio Amplifier. Will that be enough?
