I decided to replace this amp with a set of active monitors. I will be placing this unit up for sale later today. What would be a fair price? R500? Considering I have no idea what could be wrong with it.

My Marantz detected from left to be out of phase while it was correct. The room calibration did a great job. I just manually changed some crossover points to my personal liking and speaker capabilities.

Roku 3 looks great. Just a little worried about SMB support.

I have the LG 47LM6700. Sadly no support for Netflix as it is region locked to Africa/Middle-East and not on the WebOS software. Found a nice hack for WebOs but not the old SmartTV software. It does have ARC functionality etc.

Specifically just for Netflix really. Since Windows 7 doesn't have a solution for "out of browser" use of Netflix I started considering getting the Apple TV. Other option is to run Windows 8 on the HTPC so I can use the Netflix app. Only reason is to have surround sound really. Quite happy...

Have you enabled the DTS-HD in XBMC? My Marantz 5008 refused to get the right signal from my N54 via an ATi card and I finally found the advanced settings in XBMC. You need to tell it what formats your AVR is capable of decoding.

Thanks Very good sounding received now that it's played in a bit. Had some decoding issues from Kodi but I managed to sort that out. Right now Im super happy.

Found a very nice Marantz 5008 for silly cheap at Dion Wired. So far Im quite impressed. Just need to let it play in a bit. Midrange is a little flat. Everything else is good.

Im in a fairly small place at the moment and I don't want to wake the neighbors. Thinking of a smallish AVR around the R6000 mark for now. Entry level Yamaha or Marantz would be nice.

Ill know when I get the quote. Looks like the digital board is fried. talks of around R7500 to replace.

Biggest problem is I don't have a Rotel budget at the moment.

While I wait for the repair quote on my Rotel RSP-1068 and RB985 combo I am preparing myself for the worst which is "not economically viable to repair" :( The combo is paired with DLS speakers which I absolutely love for their warm and laid back sound. With RB putting out around 200W RMS @ 4ohm...
