Yes, Tidal and Apple Music have many 24/48 tracks. That's around 2,304 kbps compared to Spotify's 320 kbps at best. And yes, it matters.

Sadly true, yes. Less so with their lossless resolution up to 24:48 (and I like the fact that they categorise this as lossless, not HiRes). But even their lossless is not as straight forward as other streaming services.

Taylor Swift released her latest, and it is a killer pop album. The above just 3 gems at the end. It is Lorde-like.. quite good! Notice the stream quality from Tidal; spot on Ms. Swift, spot on.

Just for the record (now that I have subscribed to Tidal again), one can access your Tidal library directly via BubbleUPnP and cast Max files in hi-res (up to 24 bit 192 kHz). It also shows which songs are authentic hi-res ("H"), and which are not (the CD quality files that had the MQA "Master"...

I nowadays have my floorstanders on my rug, without spikes. The rug is a firm, Persian-like one and extends all the way back to the wall behind the speakers. I think it works well, accoustically.

Resurrecting this thread as it is a topic that has bearing on some other recent threads. It seems that with high-end equipment it is preferred to isolate the system from the room as best as one could.. kind of lay it all bare.. This is good news. Apparently there are already a great many proper flac files (cd and 24 bit) available.

I have not actually tried it using Tidal, which is why I have been asking those questions. But I am using it with Apple Music casting downloaded content, and used it with Deezer before (both CD quality). Same principle, you download it and play it back using the Apple M / Deezer app, but then...

You don't use it to download. You still use the Tidal app. You just cast it using Bubble.
