Harmo/kardon go play 2 speaker surrounds

Evening all, does anybody perhaps know if one can get foam surround replacements for the woofers of Harmon/Kardon Go play 2 locally. I think some of the other models use the same size woofer. Think its a 3 inch woofer. Otherwise I will have to get some from Ebay. Regards Jan

    Pre - NO Pre

I use an Integra 30.2 as a general source distributor to connect all my stuff. The pre out only outputs 250mV max . The power amp that I am using is a Slewmaster DIY amp from DIY Audio that I build from bottom to top, and you need at least 1.5V on the input to drive it to it's full output.(244W...

    Q17 Quad amp

Thanks Ari, I have ordered them from JLCPCB, got the Gerber files from a guy in Romania. I'm waiting for 5 boards on the plane. :)

    Q17 Quad amp

Dewald, Yes I know , you are correct, there are a lot of 405 circuits on DIY audio and ebay sells a lot. The guy that developed this circuit says that it does not measure good on machines like an  analyzer ,but that it sounds good on the ear. And I prefer a little more power under the hood ! ;)...

    Q17 Quad amp

This is what I am currently busy with keeping me out if mischief and trouble. ;D I have never heard a Quad current dumping amp but have read a lot of people loves them. There have been a few current dumping designs on DIY audio that I pondered about and when this one came around I pulled the...

    TRX electronics

I have ordered from them before, but the site is super slow now. I cannot believe that RS is lately much cheaper than Mouser, but I'll use Mouser for a few small signal trannies as I don't need to buy 200 of each. ;)

How many watts do you really need??

That is why I have build this Slewmaster, 5 pairs of mosfets per channel, 1x 500VA transformer per channel. This drives my main speakers. I use the AVR only for Centre and rear speakers.

How many watts do you really need??

The thing with lots of AVR's is that they love darlington transistors on the output and there are usually a single pair of 10A transistors for each channel. No problem with Darlingtons itself. Some better AVR's use use 2 pairs for the the main speakers which is good for the SOA of the trannies...

    Hall of shame

Bad things happening under the bonnet ! ;D When somebody brings me an amp with some of the cover screws missing or are not the same then you know to expect ugly gremlins. https://liquidaudio.com.au/hall-of-shame/

How many watts do you really need??

There will never easily be a substitute for " There is no replacement for displacement" . Those big efficient engines are idling while the nippers are running out of refs and small turbo motors I will never trust them for endurance. The Nad 3020 are great sounding oldskool amps, smallish...

SKA 150 watt mosfet amp from Greg Ball

DaveFred, yes I have seen those boards, the original mounting setup of the OP trannies makes it difficult, I will check out the size of the boards, I prefer to mount the sinks vertical, all depending on the size of the chassis, but in the Freestate everything is viable ! ;) :2thumbs:

SKA 150 watt mosfet amp from Greg Ball

Guy's, I have sourced the BOM for the SKA but have not build it yet, that was before I build a Slewmaster which is my current amp and will be hard to beat. I'm currently checking out the current dumping amps, still have to decide which one will be my next job. The AB100 is a great sounding amp...
