    REVIEW: Jabra Elite 85h

REVIEW: Jabra Elite 85h - Pleasure for Business Introduction In the world of headphones, it is not often that business and pleasure share the reins. Having been in the hobby for many years, there was a clear distinction between gear I would use for musical enjoyment and that which I would use...

Question headphones to equal or beat Hifi

My take on this is that it's difficult to directly compare 2-channel (hifi), headphones and IEMs. Each offers a very different experience to another, and it's not a case of either or. For instance it's physically impossible to replicate the space of room sound created by speakers and a good...

Shuoer S12 Planar IEM - Anyone got em?

Finally landed. My first Campfire IEM. Also my first CIEM. Will take some time to suss it out, but so far this is the closest to the high-end Audeze planar sound I've heard in an IEM. The bass in particular is insanely deep, and the stage is huge in all dimensions. Most impressive is resolution...

Shuoer S12 Planar IEM - Anyone got em?

I'll be reviewing the CA Supermoon soon, curious to hear how well planar tech is being implemented into IEMs compared to full-size drivers. Should be fun. I'll post the review to a new thread here when it's done.

Does anyone know when the WH-1000XM5 will release in SA?

Forget the sushi, order direct from Amazon Japan, and you'll have them here in less than a week with more than R2.5K to spare over the local ripoff pricing.

    Maybe anti-social headphones...

I generally find that if you want peace and quiet (for a conversation), you're not going to find it at restaurants or coffee shops. I much prefer coffee shops on my own with noise-cancelling IEMs.

REVIEW: Jabra redefines true wireless ?budget? quality

The Jabra Elite 3 is an excellent set of IEMs at considerably less than these two. It may not have all the features and functions, but is probably the best budget IEM out there atm. I'd avoid no-name Chi-Fi products if at all possible and go with a trusted brand with local support. If you need...

REVIEW: Jabra redefines true wireless ?budget? quality

PART TWO Sound impressions I tested the Jabras with a range of music, paired with an LG V60 smartphone and Apple MacBook Pro. To be honest, I wasn?t expecting miracles with either IEM, given their price points and limited connectivity options, but what I heard actually exceeded my...

REVIEW: Jabra redefines true wireless ?budget? quality

[size=10pt]Full disclosure: I was sent samples of the Jabra Elite 4 Active and Elite 7 Pro by Circuit City Electronics, the official Jabra distributor in South Africa, in exchange for my honest opinion and review. While I won?t mention it as part of the review, I want to extend a special thanks...

    cayin ru6 r2r usb-c dac/amp dongle

It also doesn't have Bluetooth input, unlike the BTR-5 and GO blu, but R-2R is a gamechanger if you're into that sound, which the other two can't offer.

Cayin RU-6 Impressions I hope ron g doesn't mind me piggy-backing on his thread to post my own RU-6 impressions, but I figured a separate thread would be unnecessary duplication. Thanks to the guys at www.lumous-audio.co.za for the opportunity to demo. Unpacking the RU-6 For a $200 device...

Newish to Headphones this is my Journey

Welcome to the rabbit hole. I'd say sorry for your wallet, but it seems you're keeping it on quite a tight leash already and not going overboard with your choices. The Senns are a great introduction to higher end head-fi and will serve you well for years to come. Just be warned this rabbit hole...
