Ah I see, thanks for the info. I’ll try to demo it sometime, as especially the Horizon game looks amazing from what I’ve read

ZMF Pads for Focal Clear + Amazon Arya Pads

Nice! I too was sceptical with aftermarket pads, but the LCD pads from Dekoni that I bought from you Arie was really good quality, and had the added benefit of reducing the suction effect that I’d sometimes get with the original pads. @Solid_Tuna , how have the Clears been treating you? I do...

Is this the end of MQA?

I’ve been using Tidal for a few years, since before the whole MQA thing. I could’ve sworn that their highest tier was always Flac? Now for the CEO to say they will be rolling out high res flac (to replace MQA?) sounds a bit strange…

Access to Headphones in South Africa

I’ve imported a few headphones from sites such as eBay and can confirm the 16.5% extra paid over and above the shipping costs. Granted there’s always an element of risk attached, but thankfully all items I’ve imported so far have been working 100% as advertised. Now that we’ve got some awesome...

My first venture into solar: advice needed

I was looking at this one, will probably pick one up in the week sometime when I can get an hour off work to go to Builders Warehouse. Is installation a DIY job? I’m not particularly clued up when it comes to electrical stuff and don’t want to fiddle with my DB if there’s a chance I’ll blow...

My first venture into solar: advice needed

I was really wondering about this! Really had me worried that there was something wrong with my system as it was only outputting 600watts at noon on a Sunny day lol, even though it was running everything. Then when I turned on the geyser it jumped to 3100watts

My first venture into solar: advice needed

Hi all, thanks so much for all the responses. After doing a bit more monitoring of the system as well as tweaking my time off use settings and “simulating “ a geyser timer by switching the geyser on and off at certain times, it’s clear that additional savings are definitely possible. I...

My first venture into solar: advice needed

Not sure, but from the limited research I’ve done the Deye inverters are some of the better ones available, so I would assume that it is bridgeable, although since I’m renting I would simply upgrade to the larger package of I ever wanted to go that route and pay the extra monthly fee (but...

My first venture into solar: advice needed

Thanks for the reply, yea I’ve been fiddling around with the time of use, have set it to run the battery down from 95%to 40% between midnight and 8am, after which the solar takes over to recharge it. Then again from 95% to 80% between 12 and 4pm, then recharge again with the last of the sunlight...
