I agree totally. However let’s say that we live in a world of uninterrupted power. Would unplugging then be the preferred route? My thinking is unplugging should be preferable to powering the valve continuously.

My take on this is that if there is nothing wrong with the speakers then brush any dust off with a soft brush and then leave them alone. Its just that over the years I have managed to mess up a number of things by fiddling with them when no action was actually required.
