I placed an order yesterday (for a whole lot of stuff I don't really need :)). This was after my wife bought from them a few weeks ago and all was good. Pleasantly surprised with quality of the items(y). Hope my order arrives uneventfully.
WD6 gets my vote. The variable switch allows me to use about 70 - 80% power, so the machine is not stressed at full power all the time. Recommend it with the extension hose (think its 5 or 6m). So together with the original hose, it makes a nice long hose with little need to move the machine...
Highs:
Enjoying YouTube Music. NPR and those generated music mixes based on my listening is working out great.
Getting my vintage power amp back from an electronic restoration. Exceeded my expectations.
Realising that I'm not an audiophile :)
Lows:
Losing my dedicated listening room. Its...
Dont know what price point you're aiming for. If on a budget, add Yamaha WXAD-10 to your radar. Might find one at a good price given its on the market for a few years now.
Hi Guys,
Is there any place in SA that sells replacement earpads for my Edifier W820BT headphones. A Google search returns a few local websites which I never heard of.
Amazon comes in at about R600. Think I paid about R1000 for the headphones themselves so hoping to find a more sensible...
Slightly off topic, apologies. A few guys mentioned JVC headunits at the beginning of this thread. Could someone please share a few model numbers - i'm looking for a single din unit cd/receiver (if still made :) ) to replace a 15 year old Alpine unit. Must have separate subwoofer pre-outs and...
As a hifi enthusiast, my own learnings as follows:
1. Choosing with "heart" over "head" almost always worked out better for me
2. Take opinions (reviews, friends, etc.) with a pinch of salt. Make your own choice based on your likings.
3. Bookshelf speakers suck - big speakers rock (just for me...
Oh man, the title alone gives me goosebumps. I would guess the reason was just because they could. Like having a Supercar and only driving it at 120km/h.
Probably to win the receiver wars. Although I think there was a Sansui or Technics with 270wrms @ 8 ohms which was the ultimate winner but...
Anybody venturing down this road, please make know that detailing is the simple part.
Maintaining it with the correct washing procedure is key. As post above, all it takes is one bad carwash procedure, or one well-intended-but-incorrect wipe down to ruin an expensive detail job. The correct...
Hi All,
I've read some of the threads here and picked up lots of useful information.
My post refers to the Huawei Isitepower-M (similar to the Tesla Powerwall design) hybrid inverter/battery combo. I quite like the aesthetics and it could be a simple back to back installation with my DB...
I used the following speakers with an Exclame 100 - in a medium sized room with standard ceiling height.
1. Sonor Audio Palladium - subtle, silky smooth & really well balanced
2. Sonor Audio Vega (1st gen) - awesome low end punch
3. Energy Veritas - Sparkling top end
4. Martin Logan hybrids...
Out of interest, I notice a few seconds delay on the internet station vs FM. Five seconds on New Years Eve apparently makes a significant difference:(
Is the delay normal or perhaps just on my network?
