Thanks Chris

That sounds great, what would you imagine would be a good size? 20x5 / 30x5 Rare Earth /  Ferrite?

Want it to be solid. No vibrations - well except where they are supposed to come from  :P

Holy crumbs

Rare Earth Disc Magnet Dia20x5mm = R21 exc VAT each!.

Seems a little excessive to pay +- 600 simply to mount grills? Think I will find something to pull magnets out of.

You'll find pretty strong magnets in the "laser-heads" of CD-ROM's. The focus assembly of the lens has two.  ;D

Try the R10 Shop (made up name) for little toys that use magnets... only thing is, I don't know what the life expectancy of those magnets are. Somewhere I have some magnets I bought from PartsExpress, also for speaker grille attachment. They're moo rovva strong.

Yep about that price. Ones we used at my old job cost R25 each. I've been trying to recall the name of a magnet shop in Somerset West (I was told about), but can't seem to retrieve it from memory. I think that the word "magnet" featured in the  name.

Am I right if I say you gonna use 15 magnets per grill.  ???  Hope it is a very large grill, and you have a decent crowbar. ;) Those r.e.m ones are strong.
