Date of next issue
« on: October 29, 2007, 04:43:06 pm »
Hi,

Small little question : Why not print the date the next issue hits the news stands, like CAR magazine?

I'm usually pretty eager and start my excitement for new magazines from the 25th of the month ;)

Hi,

 like CAR magazine?

coz Car magazine readers forget that the magazine comes out at the same time each month. Plus if you took advantage of the subscription offer you wouldn't need to worry ;D ;D

....sorry I'm in a sarcastic mood this morning, not enough coffee yet :(

Hi Dolby,

If we printed the date, and claimed that was indeed the date it was going to appear on the shelves...we'd be lying. There's regrettably just so much that can go wrong during planning, production, printing, mailing, etc., that to be able to predict a specific date would be pretty much impossible, and would be a disservice to our readers, as they would be given false expectations. We try and keep as close to a regular release date as possible, but even if things went fine our side, there's always the possibility of hiccups with transporting the magazine, for example.

My copy arrived in the post yesterday, and for the second day in a row I have left the magazine at work :(

Maybe I should subscribe twice, once for my work address, once here at home...
