I did mention Adam Ant.
As for Phil Oakley.....pffffft and he claims to only be human  :o

Even more ridiculous is that he claims to be a man!

Wow! This is going to be a great 10 part DVD collection!

There was a local album called "The Sydney Sessions", can't remember what was on there but it contained some gems that never really made it far, but some of it definetely was shown on PopShop.
Maybe a local only disc is warranted (if videos exist).

some of the items mentioned here are fairly common and I have it on more than one DVD, e.g. Softcell  (unless it's "Say Hello Wave Goodbye" (Excellent song!) and not "Tainted Love" again) , Vienna

Pixies - anything but "Where is my mind" - far too popular. What about Gigantic! That's epic, even if not Black Francis on vocals. Or "Monkey's gone to Heaven" "Dig for fire" - so many choices to avoid "Where is my Mind", even KFM seems to play it these days.

Ad:
The Pale - anything (they only made 1 album "Here's one we made earlier") - Dog without a Bone, Butterfly, etc
Grace Jones - almost anything
Twisted Sister! (not really alternative, but who doesn't wanna see that guy again? Just to scare your children into studying harder)
Bauhaus / Peter Murphy / Dalis Car  - (Murphy from Bauhaus + Karn from Japan - one of my favourite CDs)
Siouxsie & the Banshess - Kiss them for me (80s), Ghost in you, Peekaboo. The older stuff may be pre-80's. Anything off the "Through the looking Glass"
E-void - Shadows! Or failing availability of a video, there was a cool powerful remake by some other local band who's other material is fairly feeble, but there could be a video of this song
The Damned - Grimly Fiendish - their best song
Alien Sex Fiend - I walk the line (between good and evil)
yes, sigue sigue sputnik! Love Missile F1-11 or something
Echo and the Bunnymen - anything!
Cocteau Twins / Dead can Dance / This Mortal Coil - anyhting
Julian Cope - World Shut yer Mouth / Beautiful Love
Propaganda - Murder of Love
Rodriguez (although I suppose only recent video material might exist)
Sugarcubes - Birthday / Regina / well, anything (Bjork's prior ultra cool alt band - before she went completely commercial)
Transvision Vamp? Too commercial?
Yello - anything off Stella that wasn't in a movie or ad yet
Fun Boy Three - The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum
Frank Black - Hang on to Your Ego
Violent Femmes - anything
Furniture - Brilliant Mind
Fad Gadget - Life of the Line...
Robert Palmer - Johnny & Mary
Nina Hagen - Born in Xixax

Drop:
Hopefully there's no Phsycho Reptiles / Harry video material in existance...
Heaven 17, hardly alt
blancmange - living on ceiling - ditto
The Damned - Eloise - it's a cover! fact that it's a hit just shows how bad most of their own music was. (and i already have that somewhere :-)   )
