« on: October 08, 2007, 06:41:11 pm »
This technology has been much talked about lately and is finally here (well not SA just yet ;D)

1,000,000:1 Contrast ratio and 100% colour reproduction, oh and the actual display is only 3 - 4 mm thick  :o Can't wait for this to hit our shores

Looks great, but with still high prices of decent sized LCD and Plasma TV's can our market even consider O-LED TV. Further with our history of poor broadcast quality it will be a waste to invest in O-LEO.

Heh heh yeah, that remains to be seen. I'm curious to see what DSTV's HD broadcast is going to be like

Probably gonna be a nice rez, but surely well se lots of artifacting as we do now. I am excited to see what it gonna be like, but i am not expecting much.

imo, even at 576 should be quite nice quality, even on hd tv's. It wont be as sharp as a hd format. but the quality should be good. This is the problem with DSTV, everything is blocky, and lots of channels are very soft. I have found MNET to be one of the best channels. If all the dstv channels could look like mnet, and had widescreen support, I would certainly be a happy man!
