And the worst is that the album has such great potential to draw you in. But the first time I heard her over-processed voice properly it felt like nails to a chalkboard. *SIGH*

One of the reasons I wont buy her album. Technically (as in sonics) it falls in the POP category.

You meant to say ... POOP category?  ;)

Guess we'll have to wait for an unplugged album

That would interest me a great deal.

Why wait? There must be some decent recordings made by the Original Artist!?

Uhm... <shrugs shoulders> I love that kind of music and I think her performance is great. The songs are superb. BUT - Big But - It is covered in that shiny Radio-friendly plastic veneer (similar to KT Tunstall and Lady Antebellum) that makes me sick in the stomach.

Just to be clear; I did not comment on the music (at least not in that post ;D), just followed your lead on the "packaging" :)

Having said the album has not blown me away, I have to say she has one hell of a voice, here she is with Paul Weller covering one of his greatest ballads of all time.

I managed to get my hands on a few of her live performances - much better than the CD.

I have to say she has one hell of a voice,

That's very true, hence my disappointment with the way her last album was produced.
