Am certain most of us here understand the notion of a typo/finger trouble?

'positive'.

A typo is one thing, but having to decipher an encrypted code is another.

The world of audio equipment is replete with acronyms and concepts that are not always understood by everyone. I did not mean to be pedantic or a pain in the arse, just wasn't sure if 'poristive' was an accepted term that I had not heard of. Apologies to all who may have been offended.

 :) :) :) :) :)

According to my dictionary,

'Poristive' (verb): from the Latin word poristivum - the act of typing a review of audio equipment on a dyslexic keyboard.

Hi PearlJam, I'd have to bounce it off the Powers That Be. In some ways, the Looking Back issue -- about to go to print -- is a sort of 'unofficial' awards ceremony, as each of the reviewers lists his top six pieces of equipment for the year that was, and having it from three different reviewers does, I think, make it quite interesting, as each of them have different tastes and interests in the AV arena. So while it isn't an 'official' award with little gold rosettes and such, it is a listing of the reviewers' favourite equipment for 2010.

I seriousley think this is a good start. I look forward to receiving my mag.

Deon and I have been listing our products of the year for quite a while now.
I suppose one has to actually read the magazine regularly, to know this.

See this as a business opportunity to release a stand alone edition with some more info on perhaps why a specific reviewer liked that specific item as his POTY.

i checked out last years one - March Issue, i think....
it had their favourites lined up in each cat. I liked a lot, since it showed the top performers on what they reviewed.

Question though:
Do the reviewers get a chance to check out what the other person has all the time?
SURE - this means more favourites/top performers as it is split between what they reviewed.... (Assuming that they do not get to check out (review) what the other reviewer has).

kq...

Hi,

There's a 'pool' of equipment that is allocated to the various reviewers, but while the various reviewers are usually aware of what types of equipment of being reviewed by other members, they rarely get a chance to check it out as well, due to time constraints.
