.... let alone the difference in reflection patters making the moved listener think it was the cable.

Ah Mr Andrew! I am off the hook then regarding an early article .....

Yes, you'd be suffering a delusion on that issue, Mnr Potgieter. I am still awaiting your missive/s. *taps fingers impatiently*  ;D

What, now you want me to measure cable resistance too?
Yes - and don't forget these things vary with temperature, so make sure the listening environment is stabilized.
....
Sorry - forgot the smiley of the first post so here's 2

Room is airconditioned, but not sure if the installed unit will be able to dissipate all the hot air.
Velcro will be applied to all seats.
Hearing test will be done prior to the tests with results released after testing. I'm pretty sure that the results will correlate with the views of those doing the tests. ;D

Cellphones are banned in case their signals interfere at a molecular level with the cables, and everyone needs to undergo a full body waxing process to remove the possibility of hair contagion. Biological suits are a prerequisite.

Keep a jar of Johnsons earbuds on the coffee table - the audiophiles version of a toothpick :)

Considering my tin ears, I would love to know if a golden ones would know the difference between a coat hanger and a Nordost! :-\
I used to have SUPER POWERS.
But my therapist took them away. :vsad:

Andrew, Joel:

Can I request an additional cable test for this Saturday's session please?

I would very much like to hear an AB test on the same cable, but one being bi-wired, and the other standard single run.  Not bi-amped or anything like that, just bi-wired from one amplifier output.

It doesn't matter what type or how expensive the cable is - I would like to hear whether or not there is indeed a difference there.  I have always though it does make a difference, but I have never had an opportunity to do a serious AB test.

Thanks very much for your efforts in making this possible - it is going to be fun!  If there is anything I can help you guys out with, please feel free to give me a shout.

Regards,
Ian.

Shouldn't be a problem but this wont for part of the "official" test.

I have dual runs of some cable so I'll bring these along.

I suppose this may be a good idea.

Andrew has, or should have all the relevant details about who's attending. I'll be at the office a little later and askl him to get details out.
