Keep your eye on the classifieds on other websites as well - you will definitely find something, just be patient.

What kind of power output do you need?

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for 50wpc. It's just for music. Looking for this first, then cd player,then speakers. Which other websites do you recommend? bob is useless, the guys overcharge.

Gumtree. You WILL find something - look in all the regions, as many sellers will be willing to ship, and plenty members here will be willing to go check out something for you.

i'm from Bloemfontein. Can't get good equipment for a good price here, thus I am forced to get it shipped.

Very good amp, but quite old, if it is in good condition, the age doesn't matter much, the price is perhaps a bit high, but they don't get sold all that often as they sound way better than what you'd get for close to the price. Your speakers have to add the tonality you want with these, they are on the sterile side of neutral, but I usually enjoy that in an amp and let the speaker colour to the sound for you.

BTW it does not deliver 100w into 4 channels, but into 2 - it just has an A/B speaker facility

Sorry, my blunder, I picked up a RA-840BX3 from Gert.

I know the guy selling the Rotel on Gumtree, he bought my Sub.  It is in very good nick and compring to lower specced Rotel's that went on sale between R1200-R1800, I feel it is worth it.  I also recommended to a friend who was looking for an amp with MM/MC.  If the seller  has to package and post then I think his price is OK.  Try post office to post office.

This pioneer is entry level - it is fine as such, the Rotel is mid level specialist there is no comparison in the sound. however with entry level kit, you may not hear much of a diffs.
