Bought them in 1994, have spend most of their time in the boxes due overseas work commitments.

Price drop to R20 000 onco. To achieve this level of audio nirvana, you need to spend 6 to 7 times this price if buying new, they really are a stunning pair of speakers.

Fine speakers those, but possibly too rich for most, considering they're almost two decades old. Pity...  :P

They are no older than some of the other "stuff" i have seen around here and i know these speakers have been fully serviced recently and are in mint condition, almost like new !  ;)

No issue with the speakers (or asking price), more a comment on the fact that the average punter sadly won't recognize them for what they are.

Pricing of second hand goods is always a challenge, regardless of the original asking price. For example, i have seen the SANSUI AU111 being sold for 1100 pounds on ebay UK and US$1700 on HIFIDO in Japan but i think it will be very difficult to obtain an equivalent price here, simply because the market is different. I went and had a look at these, and they are in absolutely fantastic condition. I settled on the Focal 928s that Jamster was selling, but my decision was made due to practicality not sonic reasons.

They sound phenomenal, and the Kube adds a great deal of flexibility.

Anyone considering these can be assured they are on tip-top shape - Kurt really has looked after them and the mileage is low  ;)
