Reason I said so was that I noticed many many hifi systems stacked up this way.Seems harmless but I dont agree with stacking a cd player ontop of an amp. The washing machine  issue... no comment on that one.

I normally put the amp on top of the CDP (heat rises), so the top ventilation slots are free.

Is anyone using additional (active) cooling? I'm thinking of rigging a 12V computer fan to help my amp not catch on fire.
LF: Cheap but decent interconnects so I can try to hear the difference, or not.

You can get fans that are designed specifically to keep audio equipment cool.

Titanium impellers and abec 7 bearings with servo controlled hall effect motors with built in mains filter on the powersupply?

Yes, that's the one.  ;)

Ps. You forgot to mention the cryogenically treated and gold plated connectors.

It never ceases to amaze me that people spend a great deal of money on expensive speaker cables and then hang a great big piece of shiny metal on the end of it. (Quote: Richard Vandersteen.)
If the midrange ain't right all the bass and silky highs don't mean squat.
