Any idea what the actual title of the discs will be, and when they will be available?

A slightly different 80's list:

Eric B and Rakim - Follow the Leader
De La Soul- Eye Know
Slick Rick - Mona Lisa
LL Cool J - Rock the Bells
Afrika Bambaataa - Planet Rock
RUN-DMC - Sucker MC's
Doug E Fresh - The Show
Whodini - Friends
Grand Master Flash and the Furious 5 - The Message (maybe a bit obvious this one, but who can resist?)

Hi,

Four of the '80s DVDs are available already from Sony Music. He is busy compiling a list for the 5th one and is looking at what we're listing here.

They are around if you look, but not available like there are on these DVDs - Sony has really put a lot of effort into remastering the sound and getting it all up to scratch. Brilliant stuff.

I think, after a while, people just resort to the shotgun approach for fear of leaving out anything.

I got very disillusioned with most of the '80s compilations CDs that used to come out, because almost always, it was a particular artist and hit single that appeared time and time again, when in fact that artist would have had, say, 5 or 6 hits over that decade, and those songs never appeared.

Sinead O Connor Troy or Mandinka
Some SRV
10 K Maniacs eat for 2 my fave
Black, Wonderful Life
I guess U2 With or without you
REM end of the world or Stand
Indigo Girls
Some early UB40 before they went pop, Tyler or Madame Medusa
Snowy White Beard of Paradise

Still, I doubt I would buy any of the comps, what I like from the 80s I more or less own, the rest I am trying to forget I think....
